I’m running, running, running for my life, away from my brother, away from my mother and father. Alone, totally alone for the first time, and in the kind of place that was always my brother’s thing…wilderness.  All those years sitting by the tent, it never prepared me for this. Mom told me to go to Uncle Laban’s house, lay low until my brother’s anger fades. How long will that be? Dad told me the same thing, except the part about my brother’s plan to kill me. So now I’m supposed to get a wife, while I run for my life, always looking over my shoulder?

And so I run into the darkness…
