Job Summary:
We’re looking for a proactive, organized Operations Virtual Assistant to support the student experience and program operations at Darshan Yeshiva. This part-time role involves interacting with prospective and current students, managing program logistics, coordinating our conversion to Judaism course, and facilitating student and mentor engagement. This is a remote, contract position.
Responsibilities:
Use FreshSales CRM and Google Sheets to guide prospective students toward appropriate programs and maintain strong relationships with current students to ensure satisfaction and retention
Assist with all aspects of the conversion to Judaism program, including assisting in the hiring and managing mentors, helping prospective students with application and program fit, connect students to mentors, and conducting quarterly check-ins. Most of this is through automated and semi-automated features, but you are in charge of making sure that these functions happen
Manage FreshDesk (help desk) to address student inquiries and resolve financial, technical, and program-related questions, and on rare occasion direct complex issues to appropriate team members when needed
Provide updates to team members on Slack as needed
Moderate the Darshan Yeshiva Facebook group to engage students and mentors, initiate discussions, and manage membership
Schedule and Compensation:
Hours: Monday–Thursday, any four hours per day within the 9 AM–5 PM Eastern Time range. Make the schedule that's right for you and the role!
Rate: $1,525 paid monthly ($22/hr, 16 hours week, 4 weeks paid leave)
Time Off: 4 weeks PTO off annually; all major Jewish holidays (2 day chagim), and U.S. national holidays off. No Fridays or weekends required
Requirements:
Experience with CRM tools (FreshSales or similar), help desk software (FreshDesk), and basic website management (WordPress). Not familiar with that software? Before applying, take some time to watch YouTube videos, get free accounts and train yourself on the basics of FreshSales, FreshDesk and Wordpress
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in virtual environments
Detail-oriented and proactive
Ability to work effectively in a remote, team-oriented setting with little supervision
