After working for mainstream, organized religion for a few years, Rabbi Brian found himself called to leave. He decided to become a high school math teacher and founded Religion-Outside-The-Box (ROTB). ROTB's mission is to empower adults to find and connect with the divine in their own understanding. The organization aims to provide spiritual guidance and support wherever needed.

Rabbi Brian came to Darshan Yeshiva through his Facebook friendship (and eventually actual friendship) with Rabbi Patrick! He is a favorite rabbi at Darshan Yeshiva, and was the second Reform-ordained rabbi to join the conversion to Judaism program.
